Girls sold for 2600 dollars by ISIL

Medieval legacy continuing even in 21st century: Indians may or may not be knowing about the women treated by the Khiljis, Lodis, Mughals etc., after capturing Hindu women and keeping them in their harems. They may not know the slave trade, trafficking and kidnapping of women, young girls and children exporting to other countries from Indian ports, however enjoying the “Diaspora” status. Of course, the European Companies, Dutch, Danish, Portuguese, French and British were aiding and abetting the Arab pirates, Turkish buccaneers and Mohammedan brigands, slave agents and trafficking groups. Even though, there are primary documents and books published on such transactions, Muslim experts started countering that there was no such instance of large scale violations. But, now, the activities of IS, ISIS or ISIL have been coming out exposing their medieval brutal, barbaric and atrocious raping of women of all sorts. Their carnal, sensuous and sexy acts have been exceeding he limits either forcing the women committing suicide or get killed by the raping brutes. Now, the “rape laws” have been found to be issued operating their sexual code of conduct of abduction of women, slavery and rape.

ISIL - women slaves treated, sold and sexploited.2Raping of women by brothers systematized under “Rape Laws”: Now, it is reported that the Captured Islamic State (ISIS) documents show that the group has detailed rules and regulation on sex slavery and how its militants are to treat their female slaves[1]. The documents published by Reuters show ISIS regulations on who can have sex with whom and how militants should follow rules of intercourse with women captured by the group. The sexual fatwa papers were reportedly among piles of other documents captured by US Special Forces in Syria in May 2015. “The ruling or fatwa has the force of law and appears to go beyond the Islamic State’s previous known utterances on the subject,” Reuters reported, citing a leading Islamic State scholar. The fatwa shows that ISIS authorities believe their militants have violated the group’s sexual conduct which they claim is in accordance with the Sharia law. One document starts with a question:  “Some of the brothers have committed violations in the matter of the treatment of the female slaves. These violations are not permitted by Sharia law because these rules have not been dealt with in ages. Are there any warnings pertaining to this matter?

ISIL - women slave tradeDos and Donts in raping: In addition to allowing enslavement of women, the group then sets 15 codes to explain in detail the dos and don’ts[2]. For instance, the fatwa forbids sexual intercourse with a woman whose daughter is also enslaved and used as sex slave by the same militant. “If the owner of a female captive, who has a daughter suitable for intercourse, has sexual relations with the latter, he is not permitted to have intercourse with her mother and she is permanently off limits to him. Should he have intercourse with her mother then he is not permitted to have intercourse with her daughter and she is to be off limits to him,” says an excerpt of the ISIS document, as published by Reuters. Hundreds of Yezidi women and young girls were captured by ISIS militants last year when they attacked the town of Shingal and they have been missing ever since[3]. They were reportedly raped by the ISIL terrorists many times and buried after sexploitation leading to sick or “dying condition” either due to excessive sexual acts, group-raping or opt-repeated intercourses or “refusing to accept Islam” even after sexploitation.

Justified theological raping[4]: In the moments before he raped the 12-year-old girl, the Islamic State fighter took the time to explain that what he was about to do was not a sin. Because the preteen girl practiced a religion other than Islam, the Quran not only gave him the right to rape her — it condoned and encouraged it, he insisted. He bound her hands and gagged her. Then he knelt beside the bed and prostrated himself in prayer before getting on top of her. When it was over, he knelt to pray again, bookending the rape with acts of religious devotion. “I kept telling him it hurts — please stop,” said the girl, whose body is so small an adult could circle her waist with two hands. “He told me that according to Islam he is allowed to rape an unbeliever. He said that by raping me, he is drawing closer to God,” she said in an interview alongside her family in a refugee camp here, to which she escaped after 11 months of captivity. The systematic rape of women and girls from the Yazidi religious minority has become deeply enmeshed in the organization and the radical theology of the Islamic State in the year since the group announced it was reviving slavery as an institution. Interviews with 21 women and girls who recently escaped the Islamic State, as well as an examination of the group’s official communications, illuminate how the practice has been enshrined in the group’s core tenets[5].

Nadia Murad Basee Taha breaks down telling her horror experienceSexually tortured Young Yazdi woman pleaded with UN: A young Yazidi woman pleaded for the United Nations Security Council to wipe out Islamic State after describing the torture and rape she suffered at hands of the militants, who abducted her as “war booty” and held her for three months[6]. “Rape was used to destroy women and girls and to guarantee that these women could never lead a normal life again,” Nadia Murad Basee Taha, 21, told the 15-member council’s first meeting on human trafficking. “Islamic State has made Yazidi women into flesh to be trafficked in,” she said of the extremist group that has seized swaths of territory in Iraq and Syria. Taha said she was abducted in August last year 2014 from her village in Iraq and taken by bus to a building in the Islamic State stronghold of Mosul, where thousands of Yazidi women and children were exchanged by militants as gifts. A few days after she was taken by a man, she said: “He forced me to get dressed and put my makeup on and then that terrible night, he did it. He forced me to serve as part of his military faction, he humiliated me every day.” She tried to flee, but was stopped by a guard. Taha, who said several of her brothers were killed by Islamic State militants, eventually escaped and is now living in Germany.

ISIL - women child traffickingUN, International Criminal Court and Shariat court: Visibly emotional after telling her story, the members of the UN Security Council applauded her courage. The United Nations has said that Islamic State may have committed genocide in trying to wipe out the Yazidi minority and has urged the UN Security Council to refer the issue to the International Criminal Court for prosecution. The council said in a statement that it deplored people trafficking by Islamic State and other groups such as the Lord’s Resistance Army and Boko Haram. It warned that “certain acts associated with trafficking in persons in the context of armed conflict may constitute war crimes.” But, actually, what they are going to do is a question. UN has never declared war against terror or formed any task or Special Forces to attack terrorists. Just like a Government agencies, condemning, deploring the terror acts or advising to take the issue to International Criminal Court etc., appear to be of more routine nature than taking action.

Murad Basee TahaMurad Basee Taha (21) explained how she was tortured: Full text of Nadia’s speech[7]: In her speech Nadia Murad Basee Taha stated that “We, the women and children were brought by bus to another region. Along the way, they humiliated us. They touched us and violated us. They took us to Mosul with more than 150 other Yazidi families. In a building, there were thousands of Yazidi families and children who were exchanged as gifts. One of these people came up to me. He wanted to take me. I looked down at the floor. I was absolutely petrified. When I looked up, I saw a huge man. He looked like a monster. She further added, trying to hold back tears and keep her nerve “I cried. I cried out, I said ‘I’m too young and you’re huge.’ He hit me. He kicked me and beat me. And a few minutes later, another man came up to me. I still was looking at the floor. I saw that he was a little bit smaller. I begged him. I implored him for him to take me. I was incredibly scared of the first man. The man who took me asked me to change religion. I refused. Then, he asked my hand in marriage, so to speak.” Struggling to relive the experience she recalled the situation of the women around her, noting that “I said that I was ill because most women were menstruating because they were scared. A few days later, he forced me to get dressed and put makeup on and then that terrible night, he did it. He forced me to serve as part as his military faction. He humiliated me every day. He forced me to wear clothes that didn’t cover my body. I was tortured. I tried to flee but one of the guards stopped me. That night, he beat me. He asked me to take my clothes off. He put me in a room with the guards, then they proceeded to commit their crime until I fainted.” She finally expressed bravely ending her story “Three months after my abduction, I was finally able to escape. I’m currently living in Germany.” The Yazdi women have been sexploited, sold as slaves in the market and even killed and buried. Mass graves of women have been found in the areas, where ISIL carried on such operations.
